Q. I am a painter. I have a client with plaster walls that are uneven, lumpy, and bumpy. He want to repaint but does not want to smooth out all the lumps and bumps. I want to scratch the surface because the old paint has some sheen that needs to be dulled. Can I use these pads to scratch the paint to prep it for new paint? Will they actually scratch the old paint the way a piece of sandpaper would?
