This is a compact cordless vacuum kit designed for fast cleanup on floors, vehicles and jobsite surfaces, with everything needed to start working out of the box.

The Makita XLC02ZB 18V LXT Cordless Vacuum, Tool Only is a compact cordless cleaning tool built for fast pickup work on floors, carpets, and hard-to-reach areas. This is a cordless vacuum designed for quick cleanup and light-duty debris collection. Model Number XLC02ZB. If you already run Makita 18V LXT batteries, this bare tool makes a lot of sense because it gives you a lightweight cleanup option without adding another battery platform.

On the job, the numbers are straightforward and useful. The motor produces up to 46 CFM of airflow, and with a fully charged 18V 5.0Ah LXT battery it can run up to 33 minutes. That gives you enough time for routine cleanup, stair work, spot cleaning after drilling or trimming, and general maintenance without stopping to plug in. The redesigned floor nozzle is there for a reason too: better maneuverability and better debris collection, especially when you are moving between open floor areas and tighter spaces.

One of the better parts of this vacuum is its flexibility. At 18-3/4 inches long, it is compact enough to use as a hand vac when you want to clean shelves, corners, work surfaces, or other awkward spots. Add the extension attachment and floor nozzle, and it turns into a more comfortable upright-style cleaner for floors and carpets. That kind of setup is practical because you are not buying a one-trick tool. You are getting a vacuum that handles both close-in detail cleanup and quick floor passes.

The bagless 2-stage cloth filtration system keeps maintenance simple. Instead of messing with disposable bags, you empty the debris directly and clean the filter system as needed. That makes this a good fit for users who want low-hassle cleanup and do not want to keep buying consumable bags. The larger storage capacity also means longer time between waste disposal, which matters when you are doing more than a tiny touch-up job.

Makita also kept the handling side of it practical. The XLC02ZB has an ergonomic soft grip handle and a compact form that is easier to carry, store, and use in confined spaces than a larger shop vacuum. Makita lists the unit at only 2.7 lbs. with battery in its product specs, which helps reduce fatigue during repeated use. Some supplementary seller data lists the operating weight at 3.2 lbs. with battery, so the exact figure varies by source, but either way this is clearly a lightweight vacuum intended for convenience and quick access rather than heavy bulk collection.

For platform fit, this vacuum is compatible with Makita 18V LXT and 18V LXT Compact Lithium-Ion batteries, and Makita states that Star Protection Computer Controls work with compatible batteries that carry the Star symbol. That matters if you are already invested in the Makita cordless system, because you can keep the same chargers and batteries in rotation across your drills, drivers, saws, and cleanup tools.

Who should buy it? This vacuum is a strong pick for Makita users who need fast, portable cleanup more often than full-size shop vacuum performance. It makes sense for remodelers, installers, maintenance crews, and homeowners who want a cordless vacuum for small messes, stairs, carpets, and hard-to-reach areas. If you need maximum dust collection for major demolition or large debris, step up to a larger vac. If you want quick, easy cleanup that is ready when you are, this one is built for exactly that.

Makita BL1850BDC2X1 18V LXT Battery and Rapid Optimum Charger Starter Pack

The Makita BL1850BDC2X1 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Battery and Rapid Optimum Charger Starter Pack is a battery and charger kit for powering Makita 18V LXT cordless tools. This is a battery starter pack designed for anyone buying bare tools who needs a dependable power supply, and it includes two BL1850B 18V LXT 5.0Ah lithium-ion batteries and one DC18RC Rapid Optimum Charger.

Two 5.0Ah batteries are the practical setup for real work. With the DC18RC charging a 5.0Ah pack in 45 minutes or less, you can run one battery while the second charges and rarely stop for power. Each BL1850B provides up to 65% more run time per charge than the BL1830 3.0Ah battery, and weighs 1.4 pounds.

The BL1850B uses Star Protection Computer Controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. An integrated LED charge level indicator reads out remaining charge. The impact-resistant outer case has a shock-absorbing inner liner, and sixteen contact terminals help maintain a solid connection under vibration. Low self-discharge means a pack is ready to use even after sitting in storage, and the batteries are rated to deliver consistent power in cold weather down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit.

The DC18RC Rapid Optimum Charger has a built-in communication system that reads the battery's chip and actively controls current, voltage and temperature during charging. A built-in fan circulates air through the battery as it charges to cool it for faster charge times.

These batteries fit Makita 18V LXT tools with the Star symbol or a yellow battery receiver. Makita's 18V LXT system is one of the largest cordless lines built on an 18V slide-style lithium-ion battery, covering drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, outdoor tools and more.

Buy this pack if you are starting on Makita 18V LXT with bare tools, or if your current packs are worn out and you want a fresh pair of 5.0Ah batteries plus a rapid charger in one purchase.

</details><details id="product-whats-included" class="acc" open>

What's in the Box

(1) Filter (451208-3)

(1) Cloth Vacuum Filter (443060-3)

(1) Crevice Nozzle (416041-0)

(1) Extension Attachment (451424-7)

(1) Floor Nozzle (198526-5)

(2) 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah Batteries (BL1850B)

(1) 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Rapid Optimum Charger (DC18RC)

Includes (2) 5.0Ah batteries and (1) rapid charger from the BL1850BDC2X1 starter pack.

</details><details id="product-key-specifications" class="acc" open>

Key Specifications

XLC02ZB

Voltage (V)

18V

Air Flow Rate

46 CFM

Static Water Lift

14 in.

Runtime

Up to 33 min.

Capacity

1.3 pint

Working Sound Level

71 dB(A)

Motor Type

Brushed

HEPA Filter

No

BL1850BDC2X1 Starter Pack

Voltage

18V

Battery Capacity

5.0Ah

Battery Quantity

2

Battery Model

BL1850B

Charger Model

DC18RC Rapid Optimum

Charge Time (5.0Ah)

45 minutes or less

Battery Weight

1.4 lbs each

Cold-Weather Rating

Down to -4 degrees F

</details><details id="product-compatibility" class="acc">

Compatibility

Battery Platform
Makita 18V LXT tools with the Star symbol or a yellow battery receiver

Charger
DC18RC charges Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries;
