Festool Batteries
Choosing a Festool Battery
Festool batteries power the brand's cordless drills, sanders, saws, and lights. Most packs here are 18V: AirStream and ERGO packs from 3.1Ah to 6.2Ah, Bluetooth versions of both, HighPower 5.0Ah and 8.0Ah packs, and the Tabless TBX 4 and TBX 8. Replacement packs for older tools are also listed, including 15V, 12V, and 10.8V CXS batteries in lithium ion and NiMH. Energy Sets bundle two or four 18V packs with one or two chargers.
What to Look For
- Voltage. Match the pack to your tool. 18V packs serve current Festool cordless tools. 15V, 12V, and 10.8V packs replace batteries for older drills and the CXS.
- Capacity. Higher Ah runs longer between charges but adds weight. Smaller packs keep drills light for overhead work.
- Bluetooth. Bluetooth packs can start a Bluetooth-ready Festool CT dust extractor when the tool switches on.
- Bundle or single. An Energy Set covers batteries and a charger in one order.

Festool Batteries FAQ
Which Festool battery should I buy for a drill?
For drilling and driving, a 3.1Ah or 4.0Ah 18V pack keeps the drill light. For sanders, saws, and long sessions, step up to 5.0Ah, 6.2Ah, or an 8.0Ah HighPower or TBX 8 pack.
Can I still get batteries for older Festool tools?
Yes. This collection lists replacement packs in 15V, 12V, and 10.8V, including the CXS battery. Match the voltage and chemistry printed on your old pack.
