Milwaukee M18 Batteries
M18 REDLITHIUM packs range from CP compact packs to XC and HIGH OUTPUT packs, up to FORGE packs such as the HD12.0. Larger packs suit grinders, saws, and other high-draw tools.
Milwaukee M12 Batteries
M12 batteries keep compact tools light. Choose CP packs for low weight or XC packs, from 3.0 to 6.0Ah, for longer runtime. 2-packs are available.
Milwaukee MX FUEL Batteries
MX FUEL batteries power Milwaukee's light equipment line. They do not interchange with M18 or M12 tools.
DeWALT 20V MAX and 12V MAX
20V MAX batteries include 5.0Ah 2-packs, starter kits, and compact POWERSTACK packs. The DCA1820 adapter runs 20V MAX packs on older 18V tools. Compact tools use 12V MAX batteries.
DeWALT FlexVolt
FlexVolt 20V/60V MAX batteries, like the 6.0Ah and 9.0Ah 2-packs, run 60V MAX tools and also work in 20V MAX tools.
Makita 18V LXT
18V LXT batteries fit Makita's largest cordless line. The BL1850B 5.0Ah 2-pack is a common choice for drills, saws, and outdoor tools.
Makita 40V XGT and 12V CXT
40V max XGT batteries power Makita's high-output tools. 12V max CXT batteries slide into Makita's compact tools.
Festool Batteries
Festool 18V batteries, such as the 5.2Ah pack, run Festool cordless sanders, drills, saws, and lights.

Batteries FAQ
Can I use a higher Ah battery in my tool?
Yes, within the same platform. Amp-hours affect runtime and weight, not compatibility. A 6.0Ah M18 pack fits any M18 tool, though it adds weight on overhead work.
Do batteries work across brands?
No. Each brand and platform uses its own connection. Even within a brand, M12 and M18 or 12V MAX and 20V MAX do not interchange. DeWALT FlexVolt is the exception within DeWALT, since it works in 20V MAX tools.
Compact or high-capacity pack?
Compact packs like DeWALT POWERSTACK or Milwaukee CP keep drills and drivers light. High-capacity and high-output packs suit saws, grinders, and outdoor tools that draw more power.
Where are chargers?
Shop chargers on their own, or browse batteries and chargers for starter kits that include both.
