Festool Cordless Sanders

Choosing a Festool Cordless Sander

Festool cordless sanders put three brushless 18V shapes on one battery platform. The ETSC 125 is a 5-inch random orbital sander for flat panels and finish prep. The RTSC 400 is a rectangular orbital sander for square edges and inside corners on flat work. The DTSC 400 is a delta sander for corners, profiles, and window frames. Each comes as a BASIC tool only, or in SET and PLUS kits with 3.0Ah or 3.1Ah batteries, many with Bluetooth.

What to Look For

  • Pad shape. Round for open surfaces, rectangular for edges and square corners, delta for tight spots.
  • Kit level. BASIC suits owners who already have Festool 18V packs. SET and PLUS include batteries.
  • Bluetooth. Bluetooth versions can start a compatible CT extractor when the sander turns on.
  • Abrasives. Each sander takes its own size, so stock up on the matching paper.
