Festool SYSLITE lights cover jobsite lighting and finish inspection. The current cordless models are the SYSLITE KAL C 1200-lumen task light and the KBS C 5000-lumen site light, both offered with an 18V Airstream battery in some kits, and the DUO-H hybrid cordless/corded 10,000-lumen work light. The STL 450 surface inspection light, sold alone or with a tripod, rakes light across a surface to reveal sanding scratches and finish defects. What to Look For
- Task or area. KAL C lights a work zone. KBS C and DUO-H light a whole room.
- Power. Cordless models run on Festool 18V batteries. The DUO-H also runs corded.
- Inspection. The STL 450 is for checking surfaces before finish, not general lighting.
- Mounting. Add a tripod or magnetic mount head to aim light where you need it.

Why buy an inspection light for sanding?
Overhead light hides swirl marks and scratches until finish goes on. The STL 450 shines at a low angle across the surface so defects show while you can still sand them out.
Do SYSLITE cordless lights use my Festool batteries?
The KAL C, KBS C, and DUO-H run on Festool 18V batteries. Kits with a battery are listed here, and spare packs are in Festool batteries and chargers.
