Inflators
Cordless Inflators for Tires and Gear
Cordless inflators replace a compressor for topping off tires, sports balls, and inflatables. Milwaukee offers the M18 and M12 compact tire inflators, alone or with batteries. Makita covers 18V LXT standard and high-pressure inflators, the 12V max CXT inflator, the 40V max XGT high-pressure inflator, and Outdoor Adventure inflators and a blower/inflator. DeWALT adds the 20V MAX corded/cordless air inflator, and SKIL adds PWR CORE 20 dual function and PWRCore 12 inflators.
What to Look For
- Pressure or volume. High-pressure inflators handle tires. Dual function and blower models fill air mattresses and rafts fast.
- Battery platform. Pick the brand and voltage you already own to keep it tool only.
- Corded backup. The DeWALT model also runs from a corded source.
- Kit or tool only. Milwaukee and Makita kits add batteries. Tool-only listings suit existing users.

Inflators FAQ
Inflator or air compressor?
An inflator is for topping off tires and filling inflatables. It is not built to run air tools. For nailers and impact guns, look at a compressor.
High-pressure or high-volume inflator?
High-pressure inflators like the Makita DMP181 and MP001G suit tires. Dual function and blower/inflator models move more air at low pressure for mattresses, rafts, and pool toys.
