For install, service, auto, and trim work, yes. Many trades carry M12 for its size and switch to M18 for heavy drilling, cutting, and grinding. M12 and M18 batteries do not interchange, but some chargers accept both.
What warranty covers M12 tools and batteries?
Most M12 tools carry Milwaukee's 5-year limited warranty, and most M12 REDLITHIUM batteries carry 3 years. Heated gear and jobsite radios carry 1 year. Registration is not required.
