Oscillating Multi-Tool Accessories: Adapters, Depth Stops, and Dust Kits
Oscillating multi-tool accessories add control and compatibility to the tool itself. This collection focuses on hardware rather than blades. Fein leads with Starlock and Multimaster blade adapters for the Supercut and Vecturo, a star mount adaptor, and Best of Starlock sets for sanding, renovation, and wood cutting. Festool offers Vecturo plunge bases, depth stops, and a dust extraction adapter. Milwaukee, Bosch, and Makita supply dust extraction attachments and depth stops, and SKIL and Diablo add an 18-piece set and a sanding pad.
What to Look For
- Tool fit. Most attachments here are model specific. Match the listing to your tool, such as the Makita 199627-2 for the XMT03.
- Mount type. Adapters let a tool run blades with a different mount. Check Starlock, Multimaster, or universal fit before ordering.
- Depth control. A depth stop or plunge base sets how deep a blade cuts into drywall, flooring, or trim.
- Dust collection. Extraction attachments connect the tool to a vacuum for sanding and grout work.

Oscillating Multi-Tool Accessories FAQ
Do I need an adapter to use Starlock blades?
Only if your tool has a different mount. Fein sells Starlock and Multimaster adapters for the Supercut and Vecturo, and adapters for older Fein tools. Makita offers adapters for its own multi-tools.
Is a depth stop worth adding?
Yes if you cut openings in drywall or undercut flooring. A depth stop keeps the blade from going past the material and into pipes, wires, or the subfloor below.
