Makita adds an 18V LXT 320 PSI power cleaner and a 40V max XGT 1300 PSI washer. What to Look For
- PSI and GPM. PSI sets cleaning force and GPM sets rinse speed. Compare both when sizing a washer for decks, siding, or equipment.
- Power source. Cordless cleaners run off tool batteries, corded units suit driveways and homes, and gas washers handle heavy daily use.
- Hot or cold water. Hot water models such as the Mi-T-M HSP series cut grease and oil faster on equipment and shop floors.
- Attachments. DeWALT adds a 15 in. surface cleaner, telescoping wand, 25 ft. hose, and bottle adapter.

Pressure Washers FAQ
What is a power cleaner?
A power cleaner is a low pressure cordless washer, such as the DeWALT DCPW550 or Makita XWH02. Many draw water from a bucket or bottle, so they work away from a hose for rinsing tools, boots, and vehicles. They do not replace a full pressure washer for stripping decks.
How much PSI do I need?
Around 1,300 to 2,000 PSI handles cars, patio furniture, and light siding work. 2,400 to 3000 PSI suits decks, driveways, and jobsite cleanup. Gas washers above 3000 PSI are for heavy equipment and commercial cleaning.
