Staple Guns

Manual and Pneumatic Staple Guns

Staple guns in this collection run from hand tackers to air-powered production staplers. Stanley TR45, TR110, and SharpShooter staple guns and DeWALT heavy duty staplers handle insulation, wrap, and screen. Pneumatic options include narrow crown finish staplers from Porter Cable, DeWALT, Bostitch, and Metabo HPT, medium and wide crown construction staplers from Metabo HPT and Max, the Porter Cable US58 upholstery stapler, and Bostitch and Metabo HPT flooring staplers. The Milwaukee M18 FUEL fencing stapler kit is here too.

What to Look For

  • Crown width. Narrow crown for trim and cabinet backs, medium and wide crown for sheathing and subfloor.
  • Power. Hand tackers need nothing else. Pneumatic staplers need a compressor and hose.
  • Gauge. Lower gauge numbers mean thicker staples with more holding power.
  • Specialty use. Flooring and upholstery staplers are built for those jobs only.

Staple Guns FAQ

Do I need a compressor?

Only for the pneumatic models. Stanley and DeWALT hand staple guns work anywhere. For cordless power without air, see the staplers collection.

Will any staple fit my gun?

No. Staples must match the tool by series, gauge, crown, and leg length. Check the staple spec printed on the tool or in its manual, then shop staples by that size.
