Tool Belts

Tool Belts, Suspenders, and Belt-Worn Holders

A tool belt keeps fasteners and hand tools at your hip so you stay on task. This collection includes complete rigs and the parts to build your own. Milwaukee offers a Contractor's Work Belt with Suspension Rig, an Electrician's Work Belt, and padded belts and rigs. Occidental Leather supplies the Stronghold Suspension System, the Suspendavest, light suspenders, and belt-worn hammer, tape, and chisel holders. Gatorback adds suspender harnesses, air-channel suspenders, a contractor 6-pocket pouch, an electrician's 18-pocket pouch, and drill and hook holsters. A Stanley FatMax tool vest and a Blaklader hammer holder are also here.

What to Look For

  • Suspenders. They move weight from your hips to your shoulders, which helps on long days with a loaded belt.
  • Pocket layout by trade. Framers want nail bags. Electricians want narrow pockets for drivers and pliers.
  • Modular add-ons. Holders and holsters let you add a drill, tape, or hammer spot without buying a new belt.
  • Fit. Padded belts spread pressure and stay comfortable under weight.

Tool Belts FAQ

Do I need suspenders with my tool belt?

If your loaded belt pulls at your hips or slides down, suspenders help. Most rigs here accept suspenders, and some, like the Milwaukee contractor rig and Occidental Stronghold system, include them.

Can I build my own belt setup?

Yes. Start with a padded belt, then add pouches and holders for your trade. See Gatorback electrician's rigs for an example of a trade-specific layout.
