Screwdrivers
Multi-Bit, Insulated, and Precision Screwdrivers
Top sellers show how varied this category is. The Festool Centrotec handle driver accepts Centrotec bits. Milwaukee multi-bit drivers range from the 11-in-1 with square drive to the 27-in-1 ratcheting and 39-in-1 precision models. ECX 1000V insulated screwdrivers and the SHOCKWAVE multi-nut driver serve electricians. Rechargeable options include the Vessel e-Assist and SKIL Twist 2.0 4V. Wiha adds the SoftFinish 11-in-1 multi-driver.
What to Look For
- Single or multi-bit. Multi-bit drivers carry many tips in one handle. Fixed-tip drivers fit tight spaces and resist cam-out.
- Insulation. Use 1000V insulated drivers for electrical work near live parts.
- Ratcheting. A ratchet keeps the bit in the screw so you can drive without regripping.
- Power assist. Rechargeable screwdrivers speed up repetitive fastening without the weight of a drill.

Screwdrivers FAQ
What is an ECX screwdriver?
ECX is a combination tip that fits both Phillips and slotted screws, common on electrical devices and breakers. Milwaukee makes ECX drivers in 1000V insulated versions in ECX tip sizes 1 and 2, listed here in 4" and 6" lengths.
Is a multi-bit screwdriver worth it?
Yes for a tool bag. One multi-bit driver replaces several fixed drivers and often includes nut driver sizes. Keep a few fixed drivers for deep, narrow recesses where a bulky shaft will not fit.
