Cordless caulk guns push sealant and construction adhesive at a steady rate, without hand fatigue on long beads. Milwaukee offers M12 guns in 10 oz, 20 oz sausage, and quart sizes, and M18 guns in 10 oz and 20 oz aluminum or clear barrels. Makita covers 18V LXT 10, 20, and 29 oz guns and 12V max CXT 10, 20, and 29 oz versions. Bosch adds an 18V gun, and DeWALT sells sausage tube conversion kits in 465 ml and 600 ml.
What to Look For
- Cartridge size. 10 oz fits standard tubes. 20 oz and 29 oz barrels and quart guns suit bulk and sausage packs.
- Barrel type. Clear barrels let you see how much is left. Aluminum barrels hold up to jobsite handling.
- Platform. M12 and 12V max CXT guns are lighter. M18 and 18V LXT guns share batteries with bigger tools.
- Kit or tool only. Tool-only guns fit batteries you own. Kits such as the M12 2441-21 and M18 2641-21CT add a battery.
