Cooling Towels

Cooling Towels for Hot Jobsites

Cooling towels help you stay comfortable in heat. Soak one, wring it out, and wear it on your neck or under a hard hat. This collection has Klein and Milwaukee towels in two materials. Klein offers PVA towels in blue or high-visibility yellow 2-packs, plus single cooling towels in blue and gray. Milwaukee sells a PVA towel and a microfiber towel, each also in a 10-pack for crews.

What to Look For

  • Material. PVA holds a lot of water and feels like a chamois. Microfiber is softer and feels more like a regular towel.
  • Visibility. The Klein high-visibility yellow towels match hi-vis safety gear on roadwork and utility sites.
  • Quantity. 2-packs suit one worker. Milwaukee 10-packs stock a whole crew or a safety cabinet.

Cooling Towels FAQ

How do cooling towels work?

Water evaporating from the damp towel pulls heat from your skin. Re-wet the towel when it starts to dry. It works best in dry air and with some airflow, such as from a jobsite fan.

Why does a PVA towel get stiff?

PVA hardens as it dries. That is normal. Soak it in water for a minute and it turns soft again.
