What to Look For
- Wing material. Cast iron wings add mass and a flat extension of the top. Steel wings keep the saw lighter.
- Fence tape direction. Biesemeyer tapes come in left and right read, English or metric and English, and in widths to match your rail. Match the tape to your fence setup.
- Exact part fit. Throat plates, table boards, and planer knives are model-specific. Check the model number in the title against your machine.
- Drill press vise. Quick-release vises reposition faster between parts of different sizes.

What warranty covers Delta machines?
New DELTA machines carry a 5-year limited warranty from the date of retail purchase. SHOPMASTER and HOMECRAFT models and miter saw stands carry 3 years, new accessories 2 years, and tile saws 1 year. Service covers materials and labor at a DELTA Authorized Service Center. Claims need proof of purchase, and the customer pays transportation costs.
Do I need a zero clearance throat plate?
A zero clearance plate supports the wood right at the blade, which reduces tear-out on the bottom face and keeps thin offcuts from dropping into the saw. Keep the standard Unisaw plate for dado and bevel setups.
