Table Saw Blades: Rip, Crosscut, and Specialty
Table saw blades are matched to the cut, the material, and the saw. This collection carries SawStop 40- and 60-tooth combination blades, DeWALT 24-tooth ripping and 60- and 80-tooth fine crosscut full kerf blades, Makita and SKIL 10-inch blades, Irwin Marathon miter/table blades, and DeWALT 8-1/4-inch blades for compact jobsite saws. For sliding table saws, Freud LU3 panel sizing blades come in 200, 250, and 300 mm. Forrest solid surface planer blades and a CMT calibration and sanding disc cover specialty work.
What to Look For
- Diameter. Use the diameter your saw is built for: 8-1/4, 10, or 12 inches, or metric for sliding saws.
- Tooth count. 24 teeth rip fast, 40 to 60 teeth handle mixed cuts, and 80 teeth leave clean crosscuts.
- Bore. Check the arbor. Forrest lists separate versions for 5/8 and 3/4 inch and 20, 30, and 32 mm.
- Kerf. Full kerf blades stay stiff on powerful saws. Thin kerf blades ease the load on smaller motors.

Table Saw Blades FAQ
Can one blade handle every cut?
A 40- or 60-tooth combination blade, like the SawStop combination blades, handles ripping and crosscutting well enough for most projects. Add a dedicated rip blade for thick hardwood and a high-count blade for plywood.
What is a panel sizing blade?
A blade made for sliding table saws that cut sheet goods to size. The Freud LU3 series is sized in millimeters and is not meant for standard 10-inch cabinet saws.
