Freud Saw Blades, Dado Sets, and Router Bits
Freud tools here center on saw blades, dado sets, and router bits. Saw blades include 10-inch table saw blades such as the P410 Premier Fusion general purpose, the LU83R010 thin kerf combination, the LU80R010 plywood and melamine blade, and the LM72R010 and LM74R010 rip blades. A run of 160mm thin kerf blades covers rip, general purpose, plywood and melamine, and double-sided laminate cuts. Dado sets include the SD208S Pro, SD508 Super, and SD608 Dial-A-Width. Router bits range from flush trim, rabbeting, and up spiral bits to rail and stile and tongue and groove sets.
What to Look For
- Blade purpose. Rip blades have fewer teeth for fast cuts with the grain. Plywood and melamine blades have more teeth to limit chipping.
- Kerf. Thin kerf blades remove less material and suit lower-power saws.
- Dado width control. Stacked dado sets build width with chippers and shims. The SD608 adjusts width with a dial.
- Shank size. Sets such as the 91-108 and 89-650 use 1/2-inch shanks for stability.

Freud Tools FAQ
Which Freud blade should I put on my table saw first?
Start with a general purpose or combination blade such as the P410 or LU83R010. Add a rip blade for thick hardwood and a plywood and melamine blade for sheet goods once you see which cuts you make most.
What else does Freud make besides blades and bits?
This collection also lists the PB-100 16-piece Forstner bit set and replacement insert knife sets for Freud cutters. See drill bits for more boring options.
