DeWALT 20V MAX Tools
The DeWALT 20V MAX Cordless System
DeWALT 20V MAX is the brand's main cordless platform, and it reaches well past drills. Top sellers here include the DCCS620 compact 12-inch chainsaw, the DCPS620 pole saw, the DCPH820 pole hedge trimmer, the DCPW550 550-PSI power cleaner, and the DCBL722 handheld blower, alongside jobsite tools like the DCS367 compact reciprocating saw, the DCS356 3-speed oscillating multi-tool, and the DCE400 PEX expander. Batteries, lights, inflators, and a backpack sprayer run on the same packs.
What to Look For
- XR models. XR is DeWALT's premium 20V MAX line, and many XR tools here are brushless.
- Tool only or kit. Tool-only models fit an existing battery setup. Kits add a battery and charger.
- Battery size. Chainsaws, blowers, and power cleaners draw more power, so pair them with 4.0Ah or larger packs.
- Outdoor combos. Kits like the DCKO975M1 and DCKO86M1 pair two outdoor tools on one battery.

DeWALT 20V MAX Tools FAQ
Do older DeWALT 18V batteries fit 20V MAX tools?
No. 20V MAX tools use a different battery connection than the older 18V line. The reverse works with an adapter: the DCA1820 lets 20V MAX batteries run 18V tools. See DeWALT batteries and chargers.
What warranty comes with these DeWALT tools?

Some products carry a 7-year limited warranty instead. Terms follow the warranty stated on each product and apply to the original end user buying from DeWALT or an authorized seller.
