DeWALT Miter Saws

Choosing a DeWALT Miter Saw

DeWALT miter saws make accurate crosscuts, miters, and bevels for trim, framing, and decking. Corded models include the DWS780, DWS779, and DWS709 12 in. sliding saws, 12 in. DWS716 and DW716 double bevel saws, and 10 in. and 12 in. single bevel saws. Cordless options include the DCS361 7-1/4 in. sliding saw and the DCS714 and DCS785 on 20V MAX, the DCS781 12 in. on 60V MAX, and FLEXVOLT 120V MAX DHS716 and DHS790 saws that run on two FLEXVOLT batteries.

What to Look For

  • Blade size. 12 in. saws cut wider and taller stock. 10 in. and 7-1/4 in. saws are lighter to carry.
  • Sliding or fixed. Sliding saws cut wide boards and shelving. Fixed saws are more compact and need less space behind the saw.
  • Single or double bevel. Double bevel saws tilt both ways, so you do not flip long trim to cut opposite bevels.
  • CUTLINE. XPS models with CUTLINE cast a shadow of the blade on the workpiece to show where it will cut.

DeWALT Miter Saws FAQ

Corded or cordless DeWALT miter saw?

Corded saws such as the DWS780 suit shops and sites with power. Cordless saws remove the need for a generator on decks, punch lists, and remodels. The FLEXVOLT 120V MAX saws give full 12 in. capacity on batteries.

What warranty does DeWALT offer on miter saws?

DeWALT power tools labeled with its standard warranty carry a 3-year limited warranty, a 1-year free service contract for maintenance and worn parts, and a 90-day money-back guarantee. Some products carry a 7-year limited warranty instead. Blades are excluded, and the terms stated on each saw apply.
