ECX Driver Bits FAQ

Why use ECX instead of Phillips?

Many electrical devices use combination screws that accept Phillips or slotted tips. An ECX tip engages both, which reduces cam-out on those screws and saves switching between two bits.

Do ECX bits work on regular Phillips screws?

ECX bits fit combination screws best. For standard Phillips screws in wood or drywall, a dedicated Phillips bit gives a better fit.
