Choosing a Fenix Flashlight

Fenix flashlights range from keychain lights to high-output search lights. The collection includes the compact LD01, E05, and MC11, the PD30 and PD35 everyday carry lights, the TK series up to the TK70, which runs on 4 D batteries, and the HL30 headlamp. Fenix also offers the CL25R, rechargeable 14500 batteries, ARE-X2 and ARE-C2 chargers, a bike mount, and a TK75 extension tube.

What to Look For

  • Output. Titles list lumens. Lower output runs longer and suits close work. High output suits search and outdoor use.
  • Battery type. Some models run on common AA, AAA, or D cells. Others use rechargeable lithium cells and a charger.
  • Carry size. Keychain and pocket lights go everywhere. TK lights trade size for reach.
  • Hands free. A headlamp or bike mount frees both hands.

Fenix FAQ

What warranty does Fenix offer?

Fenix flashlights, headlamps, and lanterns without a built-in battery get 5 years of free repair, and models with a built-in battery get 2 years. Rechargeable batteries and chargers carry 1 year. Fenix offers free replacement within 15 days, and registering adds 6 months. After the free period, Fenix repairs lights for the cost of parts. Claims need a receipt.

Do I need a separate charger?

Lights that use removable rechargeable cells need a charger such as the ARE-X2 or ARE-C2 unless the light charges the cell itself. Lights that run on AA, AAA, or D batteries need no charger.
