Festool SYS-AIR is a Systainer-format air cleaner that pulls fine dust out of the room air on jobs where extraction at the tool is not enough, such as drywall and renovation work. It comes in two versions: the SYS-AIR HEPA and the standard SYS-AIR (M class). This collection also carries the HF-SYS-AIR H/HEPA and M main filters, VF-SYS-AIR preliminary filters in a 5-pack, an activated charcoal preliminary filter, the LS-SYS-AIR air supply hose, the DH-SYS-AIR ceiling bracket, and kits that bundle the unit with the hose or bracket.
What to Look For
- HEPA or standard. Choose HEPA for very fine dust and occupied homes. The standard unit suits general shop dust.
- Filter stages. Preliminary filters catch coarse dust and protect the more expensive main filter.
- Odors. The activated charcoal preliminary filter adds odor control.
- Placement. The ceiling bracket gets the unit off the floor. The air supply hose directs filtered air where you want it.
