Choosing a Festool Track Saw

A Festool track saw is a plunge-cut circular saw that rides a guide rail. Clamp the rail on your line, plunge, and push for a straight, splinter-free cut in sheet goods, doors, and countertops. Corded choices are the TS 55, TS 60, TSV 60, and TS 75. Cordless choices are the TSC 55 and the HKC 55 carpentry saw. All of them take Festool saw blades matched to wood, laminate, or solid surface.

Festool TS 55

The TS 55 is the all-around corded track saw for cabinet and furniture work. Choose the saw alone, with a Systainer3, or as a set with a 55-inch guide rail. Swap blades for fine crosscuts, rips, or laminate.

Festool TS 60 and TSV 60

The TS 60 KEB adds a kickback stop and brake and comes in sets with 55-inch rails. The TSV 60 adds a scoring blade that pre-cuts the bottom face, which helps on veneered and laminated panels. Replace worn splinterguards to keep edges clean.

Festool TS 75

The TS 75 EQ uses a larger blade for thick stock such as hardwood slabs, stair parts, and doors. Sets with a 75-inch rail handle longer rips, and more guide rails come in other lengths.

Festool TSC 55 K Cordless

The TSC 55 K runs on Festool 18V batteries and adds a kickback stop. Kits include 5.0Ah or 5.2Ah batteries, with or without a 55-inch rail, and Bluetooth versions can start a compatible CT extractor. Add spare batteries and chargers.

Festool HKC 55 Carpentry Saw

The HKC 55 is a cordless circular saw built for framing, decking, and roofing. Run it freehand or on Festool's FSK crosscut rails for repeat angled cuts. It shares batteries with the rest of Festool's cordless tools.

Rails, Clamps, and Guides

A track saw is only as good as its setup. Clamps lock the rail down, parallel guides repeat strip widths, and rail accessories join rails and set angles.

Festool Track Saws FAQ

Which Festool track saw should I buy?

For cabinets and furniture, the TS 55 or TS 60 covers most sheet goods. Choose the TSV 60 for a lot of laminate or melamine. Choose the TS 75 for thick hardwood. Choose the TSC 55 K for cordless work on site, and the HKC 55 for carpentry and framing.

Corded or cordless?

Corded TS saws suit a shop with a CT dust extractor and long cutting sessions. The cordless TSC 55 K makes the same plunge cuts with no cord to drag across the panel, which helps on job sites and in finished rooms.

What guide rail length do I need?

A 55-inch rail crosscuts a 4-foot sheet of plywood. Ripping an 8-foot sheet needs a longer rail or two rails joined with a connector. Many owners start with one 55-inch rail and add a longer one. Shop Festool guide rails.

What warranty covers Festool track saws?

New Festool track saws bought from an authorized US dealer carry a 3-year limited warranty. Register the saw within 30 days of purchase to add Festool's warranty all-inclusive service: free repairs for 3 years, wear parts such as carbon brushes, bearings and seals, and a prepaid shipping label for covered repairs. Saw blades and other accessories are not covered. Festool also offers a 30-day return or exchange through your dealer.
