What to Look For
- Wheel size. Larger wheels add throat capacity for wider panels.
- Resaw height. Check the resaw capacity if you slice thick boards.
- Motor and voltage. Note the HP and whether the saw runs on 115V, 230V, or both.
- Material. Pick a horizontal or vertical metal saw for steel stock.

Larger saws like the JWBS-15, JWBS-18-3, and JWBS-14SFX offer more power and frame rigidity for resawing than the 10-inch JWB-10.
Do Jet metal band saws cut both ways?
The HVBS models are horizontal/vertical saws. Use horizontal mode for cutting stock to length and vertical mode for shaped cuts.
