Joiner Tenons FAQ

What is a loose tenon?

A loose tenon is a separate piece of wood that fits into matching mortises in both parts. Unlike a traditional tenon, nothing is cut on the end of the board, so frames and panels can be joined at any point along an edge.

Why buy tenon stock?

The 750mm stock lets you cut tenons to any length. It helps when a mortise is deeper or shallower than standard sizes allow, or when you run out of one size mid-project.
