Makita miter saws cut trim, framing, and flooring to accurate angles. Corded models include the 10" LS1019L and 12" LS1219L dual-bevel sliding saws with laser, the LS1219LX with stand, the 12" LS1221 compound saw, and 8-1/2" slide saws. Cordless 36V (18V X2) LXT saws range from the 7-1/2" XSL02Z to the 10" XSL06 and 12" XSL07 and XSL08. The 40V max XGT GSL02, GSL03, and GSL04 are AWS capable in 8-1/2", 10", and 12". The XSL05Z is a compact 6-1/2" 18V LXT saw.
What to Look For
- Blade size. 12" saws cut wider and taller stock. 10" and smaller saws are lighter to carry.
- Sliding or fixed. Sliding saws crosscut wide boards. Compound saws are more compact.
- Dual-bevel. Tilt both ways without flipping the workpiece for crown and trim.
- Dust collection. AWS capable XGT saws can start a compatible Makita extractor.

What warranty covers Makita miter saws?
Cordless lithium-ion miter saws carry Makita's 3-year limited warranty. Corded miter saws carry the 1-year limited warranty that applies to most other Makita products. Blades are wear items and excluded.
