Mobile Bases / Stands

Mobile Bases for Stationary Machines

A mobile base lets you roll a table saw, jointer, planer, or band saw out to work and park it against the wall when you are done. This collection includes universal bases from Powermatic, Jet, Shop Fox, and Bora Portamate, plus machine-specific bases: SawStop bases for professional, contractor, and industrial saws, Powermatic bases for 54A and 60C jointers and the PWBS-14 band saw, a Rikon planer/jointer base, and a Delta base for a 14 inch band saw.

What to Look For

  • Machine fit. A dedicated base matches the machine footprint. Universal bases adjust for odd sizes.
  • Weight rating. Choose heavy or extra heavy duty bases for cast iron cabinet saws and jointers.
  • Casters. All-swivel casters turn in place in tight shops; two fixed wheels track straighter.
  • Lock-down. Solid foot locks keep the machine from creeping during cuts.

Mobile Bases / Stands FAQ

Universal or dedicated mobile base?

A dedicated base such as a SawStop or Powermatic model bolts on with no adjustment. A universal base from Bora, Shop Fox, or Jet fits many machines and moves with you if you change tools later.

Can a mobile base include a table saw extension?

Yes. The Bora PM-3750 and PM-3795 add a table saw extension frame, so the saw and its outfeed move together.
