- Cartridge match. Use the 10-inch cartridge for standard blades and the 8-inch dado cartridge for dado stacks. Confirm R2 or R3 in your saw's manual.
- Insert fit. Inserts are saw-specific: TSI-SJB and TSI-DJB for the jobsite saw, CTS-TSI for the compact saw, and lock down inserts for cabinet saws.
- Dust collection. Overarm guards capture dust above the blade, where under-table ports cannot reach.

Should I keep a spare brake cartridge?
Yes. A cartridge is single use once the brake fires, and the saw will not run without one installed. Keep a spare standard cartridge, plus a dado cartridge if you cut dados.
