Pneumatic Air Sanders

Pneumatic Air Sanders for Body Shops and Finishing

Pneumatic air sanders run on compressed air, so they stay light and cool through a full shift of sanding. Mirka makes nearly all of this collection. It includes PROS random orbital sanders in 5-inch and 6-inch sizes, orbital finishing sanders in 3x4 and 3x5 inch pads, the AOS angled spot repair sander, two-handed sanders, a weld removal belt sander, and dust-free systems with an extractor. DeWALT adds a 6-inch pneumatic palm sander.

What to Look For

  • Orbit size. Listings run from 2.5 mm to 10 mm. Small orbits finish. Large orbits cut faster.
  • Dust collection. CV models connect to a central vacuum. SGV models generate their own suction into a bag. NV models have no extraction.
  • Pad size and shape. Round pads cover panels. Small rectangular and 1.25-inch pads reach edges and spot repairs.
  • Air supply. Air sanders run continuously, so confirm your compressor keeps up.

Buy pneumatic air sanders from The Tool Nut, an authorized dealer since 1994, with free shipping on most orders and rewards points on every purchase.

Pneumatic Air Sanders FAQ

CV, SGV, or NV: which Mirka version do I need?

Choose CV if your shop has a central vacuum or a portable extractor. Choose SGV for self-contained dust capture into a bag with no hose. Choose NV only for wet sanding or where dust is handled another way.

Air sander or electric sander?

Air sanders are lighter and simpler, and body shops already run compressed air. Electric sanders like the Mirka DEOS need no compressor. Pick the one that fits your shop's power and air setup.
