What to Look For
- Shank fit. Check the shank against the collet on your tool. Dremel bits and DeWALT HP rasps and stones are not all the same shank size.
- Task. Cut-off wheels slice thin metal and plastic. Grinding stones shape and deburr. Engraving cutters mark and carve.
- Mandrel system. EZ Lock wheels and buffs snap onto an EZ Lock mandrel. The EZ406-02 starter kit includes one.
- Holding the tool. A workstation or multi-vise holds the rotary tool steady for drill-press-style work.

Do Dremel accessories fit other rotary tools?
Many standard Dremel bits fit rotary tools that accept the same small shank collet. EZ Lock wheels need the EZ Lock mandrel. Check your collet size before ordering.

The 561 multipurpose cutting bit cuts wood, plastic, and drywall. The 568 grout removal attachment guides a grout bit along tile joints at a set depth.
