Vacuum Bags
Dust Extractor and Vacuum Bags by Model
Vacuum bags capture dust before it reaches the filter, which keeps suction strong and makes emptying cleaner. Most bags here are Festool: SELFCLEAN filter bags for the CT 26, CT 36, CT 48, CT-SYS, and CT 15 / CT MINI I / CT MIDI I, plus cloth replacement bags for older CT MINI, CT MIDI, CT 22, and CT 33 units. Reusable Longlife bags fit the CT 26, 36, 48, MIDI, and CT-SYS. Other options include Milwaukee fleece bags for the 0960 and 0970 vacs, a Milwaukee planer bag, Fein and Makita fleece bags, Powermatic clear collection bags, and Festool track saw dust bags.
What to Look For
- Exact model. Bags are cut for one housing. CT MINI and CT MINI I bags are not the same.
- Disposable or reusable. SELFCLEAN bags are thrown out when full. Longlife bags are emptied and reused.
- Material. Fleece bags trap fine dust well and resist tearing.

Vacuum Bags FAQ
Do I need a bag if my extractor has a filter?
A bag protects the main filter from fine dust, so suction lasts longer between filter cleanings. For drywall and sanding dust, running with a bag is the norm.
When is a Longlife bag the better pick?
Use a reusable Longlife bag for coarse chips and debris that you dump out. For fine dust, disposable SELFCLEAN bags are cleaner to change.
