The Diablo 9 in. SDS-Max Tamper Plate Shank (model DMAMXCH1150) is built for pros and serious DIYers. This is an SDS-Max tamper plate shank designed to connect a tamper plate to an SDS-Max rotary hammer for compaction work.
The tamper plate shank connects a tamper plate to an SDS-Max hammer so you can compact soil, gravel and base material in trenches, around footings and behind forms where a plate compactor will not fit.
Heat-treated steel holds up to repeated impact, and the secure fit keeps the plate connected and working. This is a required piece to run an SDS-Max tamper plate; the plate itself is sold separately.
Ideal for concrete, utility, plumbing and site work crews.
