The Freud 5/16 in. Slotting Cutter Arbor, 1/2 in. Shank (model 60-122) is built for professional woodworking, cabinet and production shops. This is a router slotting cutter arbor designed to mount slotting cutters for cutting slots, grooves and biscuit-style joinery.
An arbor turns a slotting cutter into a router bit. Mount a Freud slotting cutter (or any slotting cutter with a 5/16 in. bore) and you can cut slots for splines, T-molding, biscuit joints and panel grooves on a router table or with a hand-held router.
The 1/2 in. shank gives a rigid connection to the router collet, which keeps the cutter running true for smooth, accurate slots.
