Overview
The Klein Tools Aviation Snips 3-Pack, Left, Right and Straight (120AVSKIT) is a matched set of three aviation snips. These are aviation snips designed for cutting and trimming sheet metal, with left cutting (Cat. No. 1200L), right cutting (Cat. No. 1201R) and straight cutting (Cat. No. 1202S) snips in one pack.
Each snip follows a cutting pattern: left cuts straight and to the left, right cuts straight and to the right, and the straight snip cuts straight and wide curves. Having all three means you choose the snip that keeps the scrap curling away from the work instead of forcing one snip through every cut. Grips are color-coded red, yellow and green for quick identification.
Blades are forged, heat-treated steel with serrated edges and blunt tips, finished with a sand blast and oil rub. Cutting capacity is 18-gauge steel and 22-gauge stainless steel, with a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) cutting length per stroke. Tension is adjusted at the pivot bolt.
The handles are hardened steel under contoured, rubberized plastic grips for comfort on extended cuts, and they are ambidextrous. A self-open latch allows fast, one-handed opening, and a hang hole on each snip makes storage simple. Each snip is about 10-1/16" (25.6 cm) long with 4-3/4" (12.1 cm) handles, and the snips conform to ASME B107.500-2020.
