Overview
The Klein 1-in. PEX Pipe and Tubing Cutter (50043) is a non-ratcheting hand cutter for schedule PEX and most standard soft-shelled tubing. It cuts up to 1 inch (25 mm) I.D. and 1-1/8 inch O.D.
A pierce-point blade starts the cut cleanly and helps the edge last. The die cast aluminum body is lightweight, and the soft-molded handles give you a comfortable grip and extra leverage when you are squeezing through a long day of PEX runs.
A sliding lock holds the cutter closed so the blade stays protected in a tool bag. When the edge finally wears, the blade comes out without tools, and the replacement is Klein 50060, sold separately.
This is the one to grab for PEX and soft tubing up to 1 inch. For schedule PVC and larger pipe, look at the ratcheting cutters in the Klein lineup.
