Overview
The Klein Tools 7/8-Inch Micro Tubing Cutter (50067) is an ultra-compact tubing cutter for copper and aluminum tube in tight spaces. This is a micro tubing cutter designed for HVAC and plumbing work where a full-size cutter cannot rotate around the pipe, with a cutting capacity of 1/8" to 7/8" (3 to 22 mm) OD.
The adjustment knob slides on a straight plane, so you can adjust feed in hard-to-reach places with maximum leverage. Combined with the sliding T-handle, you get more grip and control in close quarters: between joists, behind a condenser, or tight to a wall.
Blade changes are tool-free using a push-pin mechanism. The cutting wheel is high carbon steel (9CrSi). An integrated B tank key on the bottom of the cutter lets you keep the tool in hand for tank connections.
The body is zinc alloy and steel with a powder-coat and plated finish and a black T-handle. At about 5-3/8" (13.7 cm) by 3-11/16" (9.4 cm) and 5.6 oz (159 g), it rides in a tool pouch, belt or service vehicle drawer without taking up space. It does not ream.
Who should buy it: HVAC and refrigeration techs working on line sets in cramped equipment, plumbers cutting copper in finished walls and cabinets, and service techs who want a compact second cutter in the pouch.
