This is a PEX tubing cutter designed for clean, square cuts on PEX up to 1-1/4" (3.2 cm) in plumbing and irrigation work. It is compact, operates with one hand and latches closed for storage.
The reversible blade is the long-term value. When one edge wears, flip it and keep cutting, which extends usable blade life. If it does eventually need replacing, Klein offers a Replacement Blade for Compact PEX Pipe and Tubing Cutter (Cat. No. 50076).
One-handed operation means you hold the pipe with one hand and cut with the other, with no clamping or repositioning. Contoured handles with finger grooves keep the grip secure and controlled, including when your hands or gloves are wet, which happens on every PEX job.
