Overview
The Klein Tools Rechargeable Handheld Folding Work Light (56073) is a compact, foldable LED light that works as both a flood-style work light and a spotlight. This is a rechargeable work light designed for inspection, repair and service work in panels, engine bays, under sinks and in other confined spaces.
The main COB LED panel offers three settings: 500 lumens (high), 250 lumens (medium) and 100 lumens (low), with runtimes of 5, 9 and 13 hours, rated to ANSI FL1. A separate built-in spot LED delivers 100 lumens for 12 hours and works in both the open and closed positions, so it doubles as a pocket flashlight when folded.
Positioning is flexible: the head pivots 180 degrees and rotates 270 degrees to direct light precisely. A strong N50 rare-earth magnetic base mounts the light on metal surfaces for hands-free operation in confined areas.
Power comes from an 18650 lithium-ion battery (3.6 V) that recharges by USB-C, with a single LED fuel gauge to monitor battery life. A USB-C charging cable and instruction manual are included.
The light is IP54-rated for dust and water resistance with 6.6 ft (2 m) drop protection, and operates from 14 to 104°F (-10 to 40°C). Built from PC, TPE, aluminum and silicone, it is about 9-3/4" (24.8 cm) long and 1-5/16" (3.4 cm) in diameter, and weighs 5.2 oz (147 g). It folds to fit tool bags, belts and pockets.
Who should buy it: electricians, mechanics, HVAC and appliance techs, and maintenance staff who want a flood light and a spotlight in one rechargeable tool.
