The Klein Tools 1000-Lumen Rechargeable Headlamp with Strap (56078) is a high-output LED headlamp that also works as a handheld flashlight and a magnetic work light. This is a rechargeable headlamp designed for trades working overhead, in attics, crawlspaces and ceilings, and on night calls where both hands need to stay on the work.
Output is ANSI FL1-rated with four modes: 1,000-lumen turbo, 600-lumen high, 300-lumen medium and 100-lumen low. Klein lists runtimes of 8 hours on high, 12 on medium and 16 on low. A mode adjustment dial cycles the brightness levels, which is quicker than click-cycling, especially in gloves. Klein also describes All-On, Spot and Flood beam settings.
The lamp sits in a built-in mounting bracket that is compatible with Klein Tools hard hats, and the included fabric strap fits over a bare head or other headwear. The lamp head rotates 180 degrees to aim the light up for overhead work or down at your hands.
Remove the lamp from the bracket and it becomes a handheld flashlight. A strong magnetic base mounts it on metal surfaces for hands-free area lighting. That is three lights in one charge.
