Overview
The Klein Tools Magnetic Pitch Vial Torpedo Level, 4 Vial, 8-Inch (935RBP) is a billet aluminum torpedo level with a dedicated pitch vial. This is a magnetic torpedo level designed for plumbers, masons and anyone setting slope, reading plumb, level, 45° and pitch in precise 1/8" increments.
The pitch vial is what sets this apart from a standard torpedo. Drain lines and slope work need a known fall, and a pitch vial reads it directly instead of making you shim one end and guess. Large, easy-to-read acrylic vials give accurate readings, and Klein rates accuracy at ±0.029°.
Klein's patented magnet track holds four rare-earth magnets in place so they cannot fall out, a common failure on cheaper magnetic levels. The magnets hold the level securely on metal surfaces for hands-free leveling of pipe, strut, conduit and boxes.
Large top view vial windows let you read the level from above and from multiple angles, which helps overhead or in confined spaces. A V-groove fits the contour of conduit and pipe, and a tapered nose slides easily into pockets.
The 8" (20.3 cm) body is orange anodized billet aluminum, 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) tall and 3/4" (1.9 cm) thick, rated for a 6.6 ft (2 m) drop and weighing 6.7 oz (0.2 kg). Who should buy it: plumbers, masons, electricians bending conduit and HVAC installers running condensate lines.
