The Klein Tools Flame-Resistant Cooling Head Band (FRCLHB3) is a standalone FR cooling band for the forehead. This is a flame-resistant cooling head band designed for professionals in hot, demanding environments, worn on its own rather than attached to a hard hat.
An active cooling insert sits between soft fabric layers. Soak for 60 seconds, wring out and wear for instant cooling relief. It stays cool up to 90 minutes and reactivates as it absorbs perspiration.
The FR fabric is 50% modacrylic, 30% viscose, 18% aramid and 2% antistatic carbon, tested to ASTM F1506-22 with an ATPV of 11.9 cal and suitable for CAT 2 environments per NFPA 70E. That makes it usable alongside FR clothing where an ordinary cooling band would not be.
A universal, one size fits most design uses an adjustable hook-and-loop strap. The gray and orange band is about 25-11/16" (65.2 cm) long and 2-3/4" (7 cm) wide and weighs 1.5 oz (43 g).
