The Knipex 68 01 200 SBA End Cutting Nippers are 200 mm (8-inch) end cutters for concrete formers, rebar crews, carpenters and fabricators. This is an end cutting nipper designed for twisting and cutting binding wire and cutting wire and nails flush. Model Number: 68 01 200 SBA. SBA is Knipex retail-carded packaging of the 68 01 200.
Knipex shaped the head to move smoothly while tightening tie wire knots on reinforcing steel mesh. You twist the wire, then snip the excess without changing tools. The same flat-faced jaws pull and cut nails and pins close to the surface.
The cutting edges are induction hardened to roughly 61 HRC and rated for soft, medium and hard wire. Knipex rates the 200 mm size for medium-hard wire up to 3.5 mm and hard wire up to 2.8 mm diameter.
The tool is forged from high-grade special tool steel, multi-stage oil hardened, with plastic-coated handles. It weighs about 0.73 lb and is made in Germany to DIN ISO 5748.
