Overview
The Micro Jig GRR-RIP ReNew Cleaning Station (model GRRN-450) is a saw-side cleaning station that keeps every GRR-RIPPER gripping at full strength. This is a push block maintenance accessory designed for removing sawdust and embedded buildup from MicroJig's Green GRR-RIP gripping material.
Grip is the whole job of a GRR-RIPPER. Sawdust brushes off, but wax from your table top and resin from the wood slowly press microscopic dust into the Green Grip. That black buildup is what turns a grippy pushblock into one that slips. The ReNew handles both problems: a dry pass across the pad clears loose chips during normal work, and a wet pass with a little denatured or isopropyl alcohol lifts the embedded buildup so the grip comes back to like-new.
It's designed to stay right where you use your pushblocks. The front legs drop into the gap between the fence rail and the table on most cabinet saws, and two set screws in the front leg fine-tune the fit to your saw's exact gap. If your saw doesn't have that gap, the bottom of the front leg fits a standard MATCHFIT dovetail groove, so you can mount it on a dovetailed worktop or a small plate clamped to a jobsite saw. It sits out of the cut path, so there's no need to remove it to work.
The cleaning pad is replaceable: pop the retaining plates off each end and swap in a fresh pad. A self-adhesive steel plate is included for mounting your own spray bottle of alcohol alongside the station. The pad also handles light restoration jobs at the saw, such as light rust on a chisel or dried glue on a screwdriver.
It works with every GRR-RIPPER that uses Green Grip, including the new AIR generation, current models and legacy GRR-RIPPERs, plus the GRR-RIP Block. If you own a GRR-RIPPER and use it every week, this is the cheapest way to keep it performing like day one.
Clean Between Cuts
Make the dry pass part of normal use. One sweep across the pad clears chips without setting the pushblock down.
- One-handed, no change of grip
- Mounted at the saw, out of the cut path
Deep Clean the Green Grip
When the Green Grip darkens or feels slick, add a little alcohol to the pad, make a couple of passes and wipe the grip with a clean cloth.
- Use denatured or rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol
- Lifts embedded wax, resin and dust buildup
Fits Your Saw
Two set screws in the front leg tune the ReNew to your saw's rail gap, and the leg also fits a standard MATCHFIT dovetail groove.
- Fits most cabinet saws
- Mounts anywhere with a MATCHFIT dovetail groove

Pro Tip
Don't wait for the Green Grip to turn fully black. Go to a wet pass as soon as the grip starts to darken or feel slick; it takes a couple of passes instead of a scrubbing session.
