Overview
The Micro Jig FITFINDER 3/4-in. Wave Reversible Glue Joint Router Bit with 1/4-in. shank (model MB-025-0750WV) cuts both mating halves of a self-aligning wave joint with one bit and one setup. This is a reversible glue joint router bit designed for edge-gluing panels, cutting boards and doors, and for decorative wave profiles, in a router table or handheld router.
A reversible bit means you cut the first board face up, flip the mating board, and cut it with the exact same setup. The symmetric wave profile nests the two halves together, so there's no second bit to buy and no second setup to drift. Once the boards are interlocked they register to each other, which keeps parts from sliding out of line when you apply clamp pressure. Panels come out of the clamps flush.
Setup is where most glue joint bits waste wood. This bit has MicroJig's patented FITFINDER Center Platform, a reference surface machined into the bit that pairs with the FITFINDER 1/2 Gauge to center the profile on your stock the first time instead of after a pile of test cuts. It handles stock from 1/4 in. (6 mm) to 1-1/4 in. (32 mm) thick.
What sets the 3/4-in. bit apart from its larger 1-1/4-in. sibling is the sealed bearing. The bearing lets you run the wave joint on curved parts and follow a template, so the profile isn't limited to straight edges. The 1/4-in. shank fits trim routers and compact routers as well as router tables.
The wave profile adds glue surface over a plain butt joint and gives a more attractive joint line than tongue and groove, with the wave showing at the ends of a glue-up. It removes only about 0.100 in. (2.5 mm) per joint, so you lose very little width across a wide panel. Buy this for cutting boards, small panels, curved work and anyone using a 1/4-in. shank router. For thicker panels and doors on a router table, the 1-1/4-in. bit with Fence Boss is the better fit.
Glue Joints on Curved Work
The sealed bearing rides a template or curved edge, so the wave joint follows the shape of the part.
- Template routing on curved parts
- 1/4-in. shank fits compact routers
Dial In Setup Without Test Cuts
The Center Platform machined into the bit gives the FITFINDER 1/2 Gauge a reference point, so the profile lands centered on your stock.
- Pairs with the FITFINDER 1/2 Gauge (sold separately)
- Stock 1/4 in. to 1-1/4 in. thick

Pro Tip
Cut every board in the glue-up with the same setup, alternating faces: the first board face up, the mating board face down. Never re-adjust the bit height between halves; the reversible profile only works if both cuts share one setup.

Tool Nut's Take
Micro Jig FITFINDER 3/4-in. Wave Reversible Glue Joint Router Bit: A Glue Joint That Goes Around Corners
The Micro Jig FITFINDER 3/4-in. Wave Glue Joint Bit is the rare glue joint bit that will follow a curve.
- Who it's for: Cutting board makers, small-panel work and anyone running a 1/4-in. shank router.
- Why it stands out: Sealed bearing for curves, one-setup reversible profile and FITFINDER first-cut accuracy.
- Worth knowing: Get the most out of it with the FITFINDER 1/2 Gauge, which is sold separately.
Common Questions
- What makes it reversible? One bit, one setup, both halves of the joint. Cut the first board, flip the mating board and cut again. The symmetric wave profile nests the two together.
- What stock thickness does it handle? From 1/4 in. (6 mm) up to 1-1/4 in. (32 mm) thick.
- How much material do I lose per joint? About 0.100 in. (2.5 mm), versus the typical 3/16 to 1/4 in. other glue joint bits remove.
- Can it do more than glue joints? Yes. Run it as a decorative edge profile or cut wave surfaces for creative work.
