DF 500 Offset Base System - The Ultimate Aftermarket Accessory for the Domino Joiner

An Essential Upgrade Delivers Improved Precision, Reliability and Repeatability. Woodpeckers newest OneTIME Tool, the DF500 Offset Base makes the revolutionary Festool Domino now even better. It provides an amazingly rigid platform that insures proper mortise geometry even when making large runs of cabinets and furniture parts.

Unmatched Versatility. The DF 500 Offset Base further provides the perfect solution for centering mortises on commonly used net and nominal thickness materials and metric plywoods.

Precision-machined spacers that connect the DF 500 Offset Base’s attachment plate and fence plate are easily switched-out to cut perfectly centered mortises on nominal 3/4" (23/32") plywood, common 12mm and 18mm plywood like Baltic Birch and net dimension 3/4" and 1/2" panels and solid woods.

Even more versatility, precision and repeatability is built into the Offset Base system when using Woodpeckers outriggers and flip-stops. These heavy-duty extruded aluminum outriggers extend up to 54" (1,350mm on metric models) either right or left of the Domino. The perfectly machined flip-stops lock in place and have zero lateral play. Now, mortises can be milled in multiple panels and lumber 8 feet and longer that are precisely located in a dependably repeatable pattern.

Why the DF 500 Offset Base System Works So Well. The Offset Base attachment plate is securely fastened with two screws to the base of the Domino. The Offset Base fence plate is bolted to the attachment plate with heavy-duty screws threaded into the stout, 3/4" diameter stainless steel spacers.

This design eliminates the possibility of fence drift even after repetitive cuts. Both the attachment and fence plates are precision machined from 1/4" thick aircraft grade aluminum.

Not only is the DF 500 Offset Base rock solid, it’s also large. Compared to the Domino base and fence, the Offset Base is over 2" wider and the fence is nearly 3/4" longer. This larger platform and a 2" knob deliver greater stability, control and comfort when using the Domino.

Simple Setup and Easy to Use. When the DF 500 Offset Base is screwed to the base of the Domino, the entire unit is automatically centered. In clear view of the operator are laser engraved Imperial or metric scales in 1/16" or 1mm increments. The scale starts with 0 aligned to the Domino cursor then extends 2" right and left.

The outrigger comes in five sections that are carefully machined to precise 12" or 300 mm lengths. They are a triple T-track extrusion that’s anodized then laser engraved with inch or metric scales. The center section is aligned to 0 with the Offset Base then extends 6” or 150mm right and left. The second section can be locked in place on either side and its engraved scales continue from 6' to 18" or 150mm to 450mm. With all five sections connected, the outrigger extends to 54" or 1,350mm long.

Ordering Options.  Woodpeckers DF 500 Offset Base system is available in either Imperial (inch) or metric models. The complete system includes the Offset Base, five outrigger bars with connectors, four sets of spacers and four flip stops. The DF 500 Offset Base can also be ordered without the outrigger bars and flip stops in either Imperial or metric scales and includes the attachment plate, fence plate and four sets of spacers.
