7-1/4" Saw Blades
7-1/4" Circular Saw Blades for Framing, Finish, and Metal
7-1/4 inches is the standard size for full-size circular saws, both sidewinder and worm drive. This collection leans toward 24-tooth framing blades from Milwaukee, Makita, Diablo, and CMT, including bulk 3-packs and 10-packs. You will also find 40 and 60 tooth finish blades, the Diablo Demo Demon for demolition, a dedicated worm drive framing blade, and Diablo blades for stainless steel and thick aluminum.
What to Look For
- Framing or finish. 24 teeth for fast cuts in dimensional lumber. 40 to 60 teeth for plywood, trim, and clean crosscuts.
- Kerf. Thin kerf blades help cordless saws. Thick kerf framing blades like the Milwaukee 48-40-0742 are built for heavy corded use.
- Saw style. Worm drive saws may need a blade with a diamond knockout arbor. The Diablo D0724W is made for worm drive saws.
- Nails and metal. Use the D0724DA for nail-embedded wood. Use a Cermet blade like the D0748CFA for steel and stainless.

7-1/4" Saw Blades FAQ
Are bulk packs the same blade as single blades?
Check the model number. The Makita B-61656 is sold as a single, a 3-pack (B-61656-3), and a 10-pack (B-61656-10). Milwaukee and Diablo also offer 2-pack framing blades. Packs suit crews that change blades often.
Can a 7-1/4-inch blade cut metal?
Yes, with the right blade and saw. The Diablo D0748CFA Cermet II is made for mild and stainless steel, and the D0756N is made for thick aluminum. Never use a wood framing blade on metal.
