CMT Woodworking Cutting Tools
CMT Saw Blades, Router Bits, and Joinery Cutters
CMT makes the carbide at the business end of most woodworking machines. This collection includes 10-inch table saw blades for ripping, crosscutting, and combination work, 7-1/4-inch framing and demolition blades, and 160mm and 190mm blades listed for Festool TS 55, HK 55, and TS 75 saws, with fiber cement and non-ferrous metal versions. Router bit sets, flush trim bits, Forstner bit sets, biscuit joiner blades, oscillating blades, and Domino cutters for DF 500 and DF 700 joiners round it out.
What to Look For
- Tooth count. 24-tooth blades rip fast along the grain. 50- to 60-tooth blades leave cleaner crosscuts and sheet goods edges.
- Tooth grind. FTG suits ripping, ATB slices crosscuts, TCG handles laminate and non-ferrous metal, and 4ATB+1TCG combination blades do both rips and crosscuts.
- Kerf. ITK thin-kerf blades remove less material and ease the load on lower-power and cordless saws.
- Shank size. 1/2-inch shank router bits run smoother in full-size routers. 1/4-inch shank sets fit trim routers.

CMT Woodworking Cutting Tools FAQ
Will CMT blades fit my Festool track saw?
CMT lists 160mm blades for the Festool TS 55 and HK 55 and 190mm blades for the TS 75. Choose by material: general purpose crosscut, ultra finish, fiber cement, or non-ferrous metal and laminate. Match the blade diameter to your saw before ordering.
How do I keep blades and bits cutting clean?
Pitch and resin build up on carbide and make it cut hot and rough. CMT Formula blade and bit cleaner removes that buildup. If cuts still burn or chip after cleaning, the edge needs sharpening.
