What to Look For
- Capacity and throat depth. Capacity sets the thickest stack you can clamp. Throat depth sets how far from the edge the jaw reaches.
- Steel or plastic. XM steel spring clamps grip harder. Clippix plastic clamps are lighter and less likely to mark wood.
- Finish. NPT nickel-plated versions resist corrosion. Vinyl tips protect finished surfaces.
- Joint type. Use angle clamps for 90 degree corners and a strap clamp for frames with four or more corners.

What warranty does Bessey offer?
Bessey clamping products carry a limited lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship. C-clamps, some specialty clamps, snips, knives, magnets, bearing heaters, and pyrometers carry a 1-year warranty instead. Claims go through Bessey's online form with the part number and at least 2 photos. Abuse, misuse, alteration, and normal wear are excluded.
What is the difference between XM and XCRG spring clamps?
XM clamps are steel spring clamps that close with fixed spring pressure. XCRG clamps ratchet, so you squeeze them down to the work and they hold at that setting, which helps on thicker or uneven stock.
