What to Look For
- Connection system. Press tools need jaws for your fitting type. ProPEX expanders work with expansion PEX.
- Pipe size. Jaws and heads are sold by size, from 1/2" up to 2". Buy only the sizes you install.
- Tool size. M12 press tools are lighter for tight joist bays. M18 tools reach larger pipe.
- Pumps. Transfer pumps move water out of tanks, heaters, and flooded spaces.

Press tool or PEX expander?
They serve different systems. Press tools crimp press fittings on copper, IPS, and some PEX. Expanders stretch PEX and rings for expansion fittings like ProPEX. Your fitting brand decides which tool you need.
Are press jaws sold separately?
Some kits include jaws, such as the M12 FORCE LOGIC kit with jaws and the M18 kit with 1/2-2-inch CTS jaws. Single jaws by size are also listed for adding sizes later.
